From January 22 to 26, the projects Omali Vida Nón and ProTetuga (Principe Trust Foundation) were represented by Ana Nuno, Vanessa Schmitt and Guillermo Porriños in two scientific events in Portugal. First, they attended an event organized by ZSL Marine and Freshwater Conservation and CIIMAR / CIMAR Associate Laboratory to share best practice in working with communities for marine conservation. They then travelled to Faro to attend the First Congress of Marine Biology of Portuguese Language Countries. This was a fantastic opportunity to disseminate findings from ongoing work, learn with other projects and think about future collaborations.
