Omali Vida Nón’s team, along with a delegation of the Regional Fisheries Department, represented Principe Island during the National Week of Fisheries in São Tomé (6 and 7th July). Representatives of the government, NGOs, the captaincy and the coast guard, amongst other representatives of the fisheries sector in São Tomé and Príncipe, exchanged experiences and knowledge during this two-day cycle of conferences. International representatives of FAO and the World Bank were also present to talk about initiatives related to Blue Growth happening in the West African Coast.
Omali Vida Nón’s presentation (see file here) was warmly received, and different national and international organizations showed their interest in our project activities. We’re looking forward to future collaborations and exchanging experiences!
